Grant Economic Evaluation Package

Economic evaluation for research and programme grants — from writing a fundable economic aim and budget at proposal stage to delivering the costing and cost-effectiveness analysis once funded.

Request a proposalPricing on request · Proposal stage: typically 2–4 weeks before the submission deadline

When you need this

Funders increasingly expect trials and programme evaluations to say what an intervention costs and whether it is good value — but many teams have no health economist to design that work and write it into the proposal.

What is included

  • Proposal stage: draft the economic evaluation aim, methods, data collection plan and budget lines
  • Proposal stage: align the design with the trial or evaluation, and with the funder's requirements
  • Delivery: collect cost data alongside the study, using the ingredients approach
  • Delivery: analyse costs and outcomes — cost-effectiveness, cost-utility or cost-consequence analysis
  • Delivery: sensitivity analysis and, where needed, budget impact analysis
  • Delivery: co-author reports and journal articles, following CHEERS 2022

What you receive

  • Economic evaluation section and budget justification for the proposal
  • Health economics analysis plan
  • Costing tools and data collection instruments
  • Analysis, technical report and manuscript drafts

Frequently asked questions

Can you join as a co-investigator?

Yes, where the funder allows. We can also work as a subcontractor or consultant, depending on the grant's rules.

How early should we contact you?

Ideally at least four weeks before the submission deadline, so that the economic aim and budget are designed with the study rather than added at the end.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is on request. Proposal-stage support and the funded analysis are priced separately; we send a written proposal for each.

Not sure which package fits?

Tell us about the decision you need to support and we will suggest the right scope.
