Senior Health Policy & Systems Strengthening Analyst

About the role

You will advise ministries of health on how to strengthen their health systems, analysing workforce dynamics, service delivery bottlenecks and the financing of surgical and clinical services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop practical policy proposals, intervention frameworks (for example surgical access strategies) and retention plans for specialised medical workforces.
• Conduct qualitative and mixed-methods research, including key informant interviews and stakeholder analysis.
• Turn complex epidemiological data into persuasive policy briefs and executive presentations.

Working arrangements

The type of engagement and its terms are flexible, and we agree them with each shortlisted candidate after an initial conversation. The work is remote. Depending on the project, we may occasionally ask you to work in person, for example at our offices in Kigali or Addis Ababa, with a client, or at a field site. We agree any in-person work with you in advance.
