Training in health economic modelling in R
Practical, hands-on courses that teach analysts to build, check and report decision models in R using reproducible workflows.
The problem
Demand for economic evidence in African health systems is growing faster than the number of analysts who can produce and critique it. Much modelling is still done in spreadsheets that are hard to audit or reuse, and training is often theoretical, leaving participants unable to build a working model on their own.
Our approach

Assess needs
Agree learning objectives with you and check participants' prior experience in R and economic evaluation.

Build from worked examples
Teach through realistic case studies, moving from decision trees to Markov cohort models, probabilistic sensitivity analysis and budget impact.

Practise reproducible workflows
Use version control, parameter tables and code review so participants learn how to produce models others can check.
- 04
Follow up
Offer optional mentoring after the course while participants apply the methods to their own work.
All work follows our six-step pipeline with three expert sign-off gates.
